This guidance note, prepared by ICSA: The Governance Institute in the UK, provides guidance to prospective board members of an NGO on due diligence before accepting/applying to join an NGO board. It lists out questions that a prospective board member should ask around the NGO’s background and governance structure. This process will facilitate a better match between the NGO and the skills and interests of the prospective board member.
