This Code of Practice is issued by the Equal Opportunities Commission in accordance with the Sex Discrimination Ordinance. It aims to eliminate discrimination on the grounds of sex, marital status and pregnancy, sexual harassment and victimization in employment and to promote equal employment opportunities between men and women. This Code is designed to help employees, their colleagues, employers and other concerned parties to understand their responsibilities under the Sex Discrimination Ordinance. The Code also provides guidance on the procedures and systems that can help to prevent discrimination and to deal with unlawful acts in employment.
