Developed by Good Governance Steering Group (UK), the Charity Governance Code is a tool that helps charities and their trustees develop high standards of governance. It sets out seven principles with recommended practices for good governance. The Code is deliberately aspirational: some elements of the Code will be a stretch for many charities to achieve - which is intentional, as the Code is positioned as a tool for continuous improvement towards the highest standards.

This version of the Code is recommended for larger charities with a typical income of over £1m (~HK$10m) a year.
