A briefing session was held on 29 May to introduce the two major surveys that will be conducted soon. Agency members were invited to join both surveys.
The two surveys:
1) Hong Kong NGO Governance Health Survey - Details and FAQ
2) Survey on Financial Reserves of Social Service Agencies - Details and FAQ
Over 60 representatives of agencies attended the briefing to better understand details of the surveys. The partnering organizations also shared on the structure and objectives of the surveys.

Mr Cliff Choi, Business Director of HKCSS, explained the importance of the two surveys and encouraged agencies to participate in improving governance and demonstrating the rationale and the need of maintaining a certain level of reserves. |

As one of the partnering organization representatives of the Hong Kong NGO Governance Health Survey, Ms Christine Fang, Founding Director and Consultant of Governance and Management Excellence (GAME) for Public Benefit, mentioned that the survey took reference to similar studies overseas and localized the good governance practices to provide a tool for participating agencies to reflect on their own governance model. |

Representative of the partnering organization of the Survey on Financial Reserves of Social Service Agencies, Ms Melissa Fung, Partner, Risk Advisory of Deloitte Advisory (Hong Kong) Limited, introduced the four aspects covered in the survey. She reiterated that the study will not involve actuarial analysis. Another representative from the partnering organization of the Hong Kong NGO Governance Health Survey, Dr Ruby Lo of ExCEL3, The University of Hong Kong, explained that the data analysis of the survey will not reveal any individual responses. |
