Seminar on Companies Ordinance & NGO Governance

The Seminar on Companies Ordinance & NGO Governance was successfully held on 17 March 2017 with more than 100 participants. The speaker, Ms Susan Lo, FCIS FCS(PE), member of Professional Development Committee of The Hong Kong Institute of Chartered Secretaries, explained the key provisions of the Companies Ordinance that affect the governance practices and operation of concerned NGOs. The presentation material covering directors’ duties, abolition of Memorandum of Association, requirements of financial and directors’ reports, meetings and resolution, display and disclosure of company name and liability status.
