Social service agencies collect vast amount of personal data of their stakeholders in daily operations. These data need to be well taken care of to avoid breaching the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (PDPO). The Council has invited representatives from the Office of the Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data (PCPD) to share with the sector, on the compliance requirements, real-life scenarios from complaint cases related to NGOs handled by the PCPD, good practices for personal data privacy protection, and to answer queries that the sector has.
