The Companies (Amendment) Ordinance 2018 was passed by the Legislative Council on 24 January 2018 and will come into operation on 1 March 2018. All local companies (except those have shares listed on the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong) are required to maintain a significant controllers register.
Reference materials issued by the Companies Registry related to the new legal obligations are now available:

- “Brief Notes on Resolutions, Meetings, Company Records and Registers for Companies Limited by Guarantee”
At this seminar, representatives of the Companies Registry will brief responsible persons of NGOs incorporated as companies in Hong Kong on how to comply with the new requirements and obligations of the Companies (Amendment) Ordinance 2018. Details as follows:
