Learning Platform on NGO Governance and Management:
A series of Pro bono Consultation Service on NGO Tax Issues was held with success from February to May 2024.
The Council collaborated with the professional EY Tax Controversy Services Team, to organize the “Pro bono Consultation Service on NGO Tax Issues” for 13 NGOs. Each individual NGO participated in an hour-long consultation session, with the active involvement of Mr. Wilson Cheng, the Partner, Tax Leader for EY Hong Kong and Macau. This initiative aimed to further support NGOs in handling tax-related matters to comply with the updated Tax Guide for Charitable Institutions and Trusts of a Public Character.
