The 10th NGO Directors’ Luncheon

Event Date

The series of NGO Directors’ Luncheon cum Sharing Session with Assistant Director of Social Welfare Department consisted of four different events focusing on elderly, youth and corrections, rehabilitation and medical social services, as well as family and child welfare services. The third event on rehabilitation and medical social services was held on 4 December 2018. Below are some selected photos of the event. You may want to check out the full collection of photos here

The luncheon series is sponsored by the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants Charitable Fund.

Mr Eric Tong, President, Hong Kong Institute of CPAs, highlighted the cooperation between the institute and HKCSS which support and improve financial governance of NGOs and aimed to ensure resources can be used in a proper way and help the service users.

The “Directors’ Dialogue” session was moderated by Mr Chua Hoi Wai, Chief Executive, HKCSS (right), where Mrs Patricia Chu, Chairman, The Hong Kong Anti-Cancer Society (middle), and Mr Kenny Mui, Chairperson, Care For Your Heart (left), shared their experience as the Chairpersons. Mr Chua also announced the voting results on “Challenges facing NGO boards” being the top challenge being “financial sustainability for mission fulfillment”.
