The series of NGO Directors’ Luncheon cum Sharing Session with Assistant Director of Social Welfare Department consisted of four different events focusing on elderly, youth and corrections, rehabilitation and medical social services, as well as family and child welfare services. Ms Leung Hoi-yan, Emily, Chief Officer (Elderly Service) of Service Development in the Council, illustrated the Council’s recently concerned elderly issues and carer support are of high priority. Emily advocated “Carer Day” to SWD in order to raise public awareness. | |

Mr Chua Hoi-wai, Chief Executive of the Council, summed up for the sharing session and invited the Assistant Director of SWD to consider the services of self-financed organizations as references for the future service policies planning. |
