As a non-paid volunteer, have you ever thought of the fiduciary duties of being an NGO director? What will be the liabilities to act on behalf of your organization, say signing a cheque or a contract? What are the differences between the legal liabilities incurred by an organization and its individual board members?
Once again collaborating with the Law Society of Hong Kong, Ms Michelle Chow, Member of the Pro Bono Committee of the Law Society, will conduct the seminar in English to speak on the fiduciary duties and legal responsibilities of Governors of NGOs of different legal forms and suggest protective strategies to guard against potential risks and liabilities.
