NGOs are putting more resources on information and communications technology to support or even carry out services contributing to their mission, meeting the evolving social needs and accommodating technological advancement.
Co-organized with Information Technology Resource Centre (ITRC), the program will provide tailored consultation and support for agency members of the Council through collaboration with a group of experienced information technology (IT) professionals. Details as below:
Scope of the advisory service:
- IT strategy and planning
- IT policies and standards
- Technology sourcing and evaluation
- Systems contingency and resiliency
- Cyber security
- IT assurance and risk control
- IT governance and management
Target:
Agency members of the Council. Priority will be given to those without relevant IT professionals serving on their boards or management teams.
Quota:
5 – 10 organizations
Service period:
The IT Advisors will meet with matched NGOs for at least 4 times over a 12-month period.
Participating NGOs' commitment:
1. Participation of board and/or management representatives, unit head and staff-in-charge of IT department (if any) is required for all advisory meetings.
2. An annual / strategic plan for the concerned area(s) will be developed by end of the service period.
